We are a one-stop-shop for highly sophisticated clients with complex business models in 4 market segments: construction and infrastructure, operations and facility management, manufacturing as well as the vertical Multiples, which comprises projects in AI and vertical farming amongst others.
As a Business Controller, you will collaborate with various functional stakeholders (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Logistics) to drive Sustainable Value Creation through Rolling Forecast, Performance Management Cycle, Target Setting and Strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and refine forecasting, budgeting and liquidity planning, including. working‑capital allocation.
- Conduct account analyses and reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.
- Support the development or enhancement of a finance dashboard for real-time business insights.
- Contribute to financial controlling processes, ensuring visibility into key cash cycles
- Identify areas for process optimization and automation, helping scale finance operations as the company grows.
- Participate in regulatory reporting or audit support as needed, supporting overall compliance efforts.
Job Purpose
The Business Unit Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial performance all the business unit, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust budgeting and forecasting, cost control, and compliance with UAE regulatory and corporate governance requirements. The role acts as a strategic finance partner to business leadership, supporting decision-making and driving profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning for the assigned business unit
- Analyze monthly financial performance, variances, and KPIs, providing actionable insights to management
- Support pricing strategies, margin analysis, and investment appraisals
- Prepare business cases and financial models for new initiatives and capital expenditures
Financial Control & Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Monitor cost controls, working capital, and cash flow performance
- Maintain compliance with IFRS, internal policies, and UAE statutory requirements
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits
Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted finance partner to business unit heads and senior management
- Support operational teams with financial insights to improve efficiency and profitability
- Challenge assumptions and drive performance improvement initiatives
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, corporate tax requirements, and local laws
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls and risk management processes
- Support corporate governance and internal audit recommendations
Process Improvement
- Drive automation and optimization of financial processes and reporting systems
- Enhance financial transparency and data accuracy across the business unit
Qualifications & Experience
- 5–7 in experience in similar position in multinational environment
- Strong experience in SAP finance module and BI
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or CA is an advantage
- Accounting controlling and finance experience
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax, and IFRS
